Powell Barrister Professional Corporation, founded by Allan Powell, is a boutique-sized, collegial firm where all lawyers, administrative staff, and articling students share knowledge and experience with one another on a consistent basis.
In addition to five qualified lawyers, we have an excellent and efficient support staff composed of:
- Elma, Senior Litigation Assistant/Law Clerk: Elma has worked with Allan Powell since 1991. Elma received her diploma in 1984 in Office Administration Legal Studies from Mohawk College. She began working in the legal profession after assisting busy executives in the advertising service industry for a few years.
With over two decades of civil litigation experience, Elma assists lawyers in the firm throughout the entire litigation process including examination for discovery, mediation, trial and appeal. As a senior clerk, she provides leadership, advice and guidance to the others.
